my workout routine is sometimes cardio dancing videos but it can get loud sometimes and it’s suspicious. my “safe” workout is to just walk at least 3 miles everyday or until you can’t take it any more .

me, but quieter: but i also don’t want to recover because i don’t know who i’d be without my mental illnesses since they are practically my personality and recovery seems scary and it seems the only point of my life is to hurt because that’s all i’ve ever known. somehow mental illness is a comfort blanket even though it is the reason i need a comfort blanket to begin with and the world beyond this seems oddly confusing and terrifying

i sat in the cold and lost an extra 1 lbs/.45 kgs DAILY

We all know your body burns more kcals by trying to stay warm. I wanted to test this by turning off the heat in my apartment and holy shit it works!

I weigh myself in the morning and after a day of shivers i’m at least .5 lbs/ .22 kgs lighter at my nightly weigh in. I know its not the result of my workouts or starving because my weight has NEVER changed like this from morning to night.

I only started to see results after three days so its a continuous process, one day of cold won’t cut it.

I wanna hate food

I wanna look at food and feel disgusting

I want the smell of it makes me sick

I wanna have only water and Diet Coke in my fridge

depression tips™

shower. not a bath, a shower. use water as hot or cold as u like. u dont even need to wash. just get in under the water and let it run over you for a while. sit on the floor if you gotta.

moisturize everything. use whatever lotion u like. unscented? dollar store lotion? fancy ass 48 hour lotion that makes u smell like a field of wildflowers? use whatever you want, and use it all over.

put on clean, comfortable clothes.

put on ur favorite underwear. cute black lacy panties? those ridiculous boxers u bought last christmas with candy cane hearts on the butt? put em on.

drink cold water. use ice. if u want, add some mint or lemon for an extra boost.

clean something. doesn’t have to be anything big. organize one drawer of ur desk. wash five dirty dishes. do a load of laundry. scrub the bathroom sink.

blast music. listen to something upbeat and dancey and loud, something that’s got lots of energy. sing to it, dance to it, even if you suck at both.

make food. don’t just grab a granola bar to munch. take the time and make food. even if it’s ramen. add something special to it, like a hard boiled egg or some veggies. prepare food, it tastes way better, and you’ll feel like you accomplished something.

make something. write a short story or a poem, draw a picture, color a picture, fold origami, crochet or knit, sculpt something out of clay, anything artistic. even if you don’t think you’re good at it.

go outside. take a walk. sit in the grass. look at the clouds. smell flowers. put your hands in the dirt and feel the soil against your skin.

call someone. call a loved one, a friend, a family member, call a chat service if you have no one else to call. talk to a stranger on the street. have a conversation and listen to someone’s voice. if you can’t, text or email or whatever, just have some social interaction with another person. even if you don’t say much, listen to them.

cuddle your pets if you have them/can cuddle them. take pictures of them. talk to them. tell them how u feel, about your favorite movie, a new game coming out.



Some people’s 500 calories is fruits and veggies.

Others eat a piece of cake and a couple fries for the day.

Some people drink green tea or coffee to keep them going.

Others drink nothing because they desperately don’t want to break a fast.

Some people tell themselves it’s okay to eat over 1000 calories every now and then, it’s healthy even.

Others cry their soul out for going one calorie over.

Some people exercise regularly, keeping in mind what exercise will best help them get to their “goal.”

Others exercise constantly, because they need to be in the negative calories.

Some people were bullied once or twice or maybe even never for their weight.

Others are bullied relentlessly.

Some people fast no longer than 15 hours.

Others fast for days on end.

Some people start already in the normal range.

Others start in the overweight range.

Some people have never gone to rehab.

Others are in and out of inpatient care constantly.

Some people have tried recovery, and are striving to reach recovery status every day.

Others never want to recover.

But you know what?

All of them have a valid ed.

All of them deserve love, support, and help.

Ed’s do not give a shit about your background, age, gender, weight, race, religion, habits, grades, bringing-up, family, or anything else.

All they care about is controlling you.



good evening to people who spend more hours in a day with earbuds/headphones than without, people who can't do [insert activity] without listening to music or a podcast or something, people who feel anxious when if they don't have headphones/earbuds on their person at all times, anyone who's ever listened to music and a podcast/audiobook at the same time, people who leave their earbuds in/headphones on even when they're not playing any sound, chronic takes-out-earbud-"sorry-what?"-ers, people who listen to asmr/audiobooks/music/etc to fall asleep, and lastly anyone who has an ear/health problem caused or worsened by earbuds/headphones who won't stop using them because some people literally need earbuds to cope.




General Wellness Check

When was the last time you ate or drank something? If it’s been a while (my self-standards are 5-6 hours for food and 1-2 hours for water), please make an effort to get some.

When was the last time you moved? If you’ve been in one position for a while, I suggest perhaps walking around the room a little, moving to a different spot, adjusting the way you’re sitting, or even just stretching your arms.

Are you able to get some fresh air? Is it safe and viable for you to open a window a little or step outside for a moment? If not, may I suggest lighting a nicely scented candle?

How’s your hygiene? If it’s been longer than you’d like, please make a commitment to take care of it soon!

When was the last time you spoke with someone you care about? Consider reaching out to them, and letting them know they’re in your thoughts.

Have you been interacting with things that are damaging to your mental well-being? If you are, please stop! Purposefully interacting with things that cause you emotional or physical distress is incredibly unhealthy, and a form of self-harm.

Do you need to take your medication? If so, please take it.

Are you holding tension in your jaw and shoulders? Relax it.

Remember that you are important. You have infinite value, simply because you exist. I’m grateful to have you here on this planet with me. You deserve to take care of yourself. You deserve to be happy.





If you're trying to lose weight remember that:

your problem areas won’t be the first to shed that weight, it will be either your face, your hands, your ankles etc


when you lose weight, you realize that you and shrek are very much alike, we have layers (of fat). you will not instantly lose weight on your belly, hips, thighs, arms, where ever it is that you’re trying to specifically lose weight from, you will lose weight all over, this is why it’s hard for us to notice weight loss


the last place you gained fat on is the first to lose that fat off, the first place you gained fat on will be the hardest to lose that fat off


don’t listen to the scale, those few pounds that never seem to leave or you have gained are probably muscle growth, get yourself measuring tape to calculate your weight loss


you see yourself every day, be aware that it’ll be hard for you to notice any difference, but trust me, everyone around you is seeing it happen


weight loss takes time, don’t give up so quick.

1. Avoid eating in front of the computer or TV as you should focus on your food while eating.


2. Record everything you’ve eaten in journal or diary.


3. Green tea detoxes and speeds up your metabolism. So, drink 3 cups of green tea per day.


4. Exchange a bad habit for a good one, i.e. exchange eating for yoga, meditation or reading more. It is hard, but really rewarding.


5. Reward yourself with something you want on completing the decided goal of weight loss.


6. Whatever money you usually spent on meal, save that in a glass jar and watch its growth.


7. Make a notebook of thinspiration for recording – notes, letters, thoughts and mainly pictures of your goal.


8. Whenever you feel hungry, just brush your teeth. A fresh mouth helps you keep AWAY from craving to eat.

64. Whenever you get hungry, just relax yourself, curled up on your sofa or on your bed. Relaxing means that you won’t desire to move, it also means not getting up for food.


65. When you get a truly bad craving – just turn on the TV. Try to watch programs which have lots of gorgeous, skinny actresses/models on it. This will encourage you, also it’s a clear-cut way to curb an appetite.


66. Try to have a very busy and active timetable. Following this, you don’t have adequate time to binge.

80. Skip your dinner; eat breakfast plus lunch, or just breakfast. This gives your body adequate time to burn off the calories. You can eat all three in small meals, but ensure to finish the last one at least four hours earlier than your bed time.


81. Set a meal plan for every day as well as put the limit of calories that you’ll allow yourself to eat.

Tumblr and Twitter glamorize eating disorder to a level that is detrimental to young developing brains. Here is what is never talked about.


School

Your grades WILL suffer

People won’t come up to you and ask if you’re okay, people will not compliment you once you can see your bones and veins like tumblr tells you they will.

Waking up in the morning for classes will become impossible

You will have a brain fog 24/7 making it impossible to talk to people and pay attention to your professors

If you are in university or college your professors wont’t notice you’re struggling in a class of 50+ healthy kids. You don’t stick out.

Tired all the time.

Angry all the time.

Outward appearance

Your skin will look like paper and get very dry.

You will look wrinkly.

EXTRA SKIN!!!!

Your eyes sink in you look dead.

You WILL loose your ass there is no way around this muscle there doesn’t look the same as fat.

Your hair will fall out in chunks, be prepared for your roommates/dormmates to patronize you for your hair being everywhere.

People will only point out the things they don’t like, like your bald spots.

Physical fitness

Forget picking anything up everything feels like you’re lifting hundreds of pounds.

Standing up for long periods of time will make you lightheaded and dizzy.

You can develop anemia.

Getting up the stairs without breaks becomes impossible.

Chest pains.

Your heart rate will be dangerously high all the time which in turn creates anxiety.

If you purge your teeth can and will rot from the stomach acid.

Purging can also cause tons of damage to your esophagus also from stomach acid.

Starving yourself will leave your teeth brittle and feeling loose.

Drugs and Alcohol

Everything will affect you much more than you wanted it to.

Lastly, this will follow you for the rest of your life it is a life long disorder with virtually no cure. People will make up names for you, your identity becomes your disorder. Eventually you won’t want to be so sick and so weak. Sure being skinny is what you want but you don’t want everything else that comes with this awful monster of a disease.
